• Student Scholarships - We sponsor student scholarships throughout the year. We have an active mission program for assistance with school construction and supplies. And we support them with prayer.
  
  
• Bogotá, Colombia, Mission Work - We have a close working relationship with the Evangelistic Methodist Church in Bogotá, Colombia, through their school, the Susana Wesley Instituto, which offers Christian education to students in pre-kindergarten through high school. We currently have Tim Buyer from our congregation serving as a missionary there.
  
  
• WHEAT - Western Hanover Emergency Action Team (WHEAT) began in the early 1980’s when a number of churches in Western Hanover County recognized an opportunity to provide emergency assistance to families in need. Churches involved included Zion, Elon, Beaverdam, Rouzie, Union and others. The current organization provides financial support in emergency situations for medical needs, heating/cooling needs, and other crisis situations. Financial support is provided by area churches and organizations as well as individuals. Beaverdam Cub Scout Pack 789 "Scouting For Food" program helps to fill the food bank each year along with contributions from members of the community. We are all working together to lend a hand in our community!
