JuG's Corner...
God answers prayers! Amen? Well after yesterday, I thought a new series on the "Wood Fairies" would be appropriate, and so for the next couple of months we will talk about your favorite fairies.

Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord appeared to us in the past saying, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving kindness." I believe we used Jeremiah in scripture before, but just in case you do not remember, his message began in 626 B.C. and ended sometime after 586 B.C.  In chapter 31 Jeremiah talks about restoration and that is what the Wood Fairies need.

Now you know JuG sometimes does not play with a full deck when it comes to machinery, but this time he was on the right splitter at the right time.   Let me back up to 1978.  I had just started working in Travelers' Home Office and had not become acclimated to what was going on.  There was this mail robot that came around to various stages and we were to get our mail out of the appropriate slots.  No one told me this and so a bell rang and I stood up just like others and promptly put my foot in a garbage can, which caused me to stumble forward and my free foot went under the mail robot, thus knocking it off track and into my supervisor's office.   It took three hours to get the maintenance men to remove the machine and get it started again.  Needless to say, that story followed me down to Richmond three years later.

As you know JuG is the only one to get his hand caught between the splitter blade and the log, causing Uncle Spanky to take JuG to the hospital.  The other fairies are very mindful and now look out for JuG and in fact some make sure they are not around when I work certain parts of the team. Well, yesterday we were working in two areas about 50 yards from each other and I noticed smoke coming from the other area. So did a couple of others.  All of a sudden, Bam!  The other splitter engine threw out a piece of metal and blew up.

May that engine rest in piece. Uncle Jay can now get the check book out and we will have to buy a new  engine.  The point is that God made sure nobody was injured.  The Wood Fairies pray, work, love, and have fellowship with each other, with God and with others.

Lord, we thank you for those who give the wood, for those who work to prepare the wood, and for those who need the wood. Protect us and keep us safe, that we may do your will to give to those in need. Have a good month.  Love.
