Hi Girls and Boys.
Psalm 51: 2 "Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin."
We just got through with a series about our friends from Israel leaving Egypt. The challenges, the food, Pharoah, the food, the Commandments, the food, water parting and covering, the food, and the desert.
We learned how God provided a plan to escape; protection from all harm; food when there wasn't anything but sand to eat; and then asked only that from that time on we all only need to follow 10 short rules.
As I stood in the shower the one day last week the verse from Psalm above popped in my little Clown head and I thought wouldn't it be wonderful if only we could get our sins to wash away and never come back. The only problem is God gave us a means to forgive our transgressions but temptation always returns.
When you go back to the class room this year thank God for your opportunities and yield not into temptations.
Pray with me: Lord, thank you for letting us wash away our sins through Baptism and your Grace. Please keep temptation from us and if this can not be done then; please give us the strength to deal with it.
God loves you and so do I.
