JuG's Corner...
Hi Girls and Boys,

Happy Days are here again because it is back to school where learning is one of the better gifts of Jesus.

I like putting God's message and our memory verse first because that is what it is all about and I personally learn more from it that way. Ok?

Matthew 15: 11 Jesus said "What goes into a man's mouth does not make him unclean, but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him unclean".

When I was around 12 or 13 and starting to play on school football teams there was a coach that called me paddle foot and of course this was taken up by my team mates and I was known as paddle foot. I guess this was because I ran flat footed and not on my toes as I was suppose to.

Now being a Paddle foot was probably suppose to be funny; was suppose to remind me to run on my toes; and maybe it was suppose to be a name to show that the coach liked me. However, it really did not boost my ego and it kind of hurt my feelings. I never said anything about it to anyone and eventually the name went away.

Just this past week there as an olympic swimmer, who happened to have won 8 gold medals and all the news reporters were praising his accomplishments and at the same time they were reminding the viewers of his size 14 feet and how they were used as flippers. I bet nobody called him paddle foot.

Now if we apply the memory verse to what I am trying to say then this year as we go to school let us all apply the JuG rule. "Do I really need to join in and make fun of somebody just to be popular and part of the group?"

Until next time remember God loves you and so do I. Love,

JuG
